Hi Maureen!!!
So great to read your report. It brought tears to my eyes. How fortunate we all are back here in Canada. Give all of those kids extra hugs from all of us girls back here. Will keep in touch and tell the others to log on.

Hi team

Your photos are wonderful and I really love the captions.

Keep the reports coming so we can experience the distribution (at least in spirit) back here in Canada.

Maureen, I was so happy to get your email and to be able to catch up (through the blog) on your activities and pictures from there. What an amazing, but I am sure VERY emotional experience. Thank GOD for you and your teammates, and others before and after you, that share from their heart and hands such much needed support. We are all very proud of you and of the SCAW organization!

On an aside, when you return home you will be happy to know there will be an article in the up-coming Grand Magazine.

Take care, and try to keep up your spirits. Know that as devasting as some of the things you are seeing over there are, you and your team are making a difference in so many lives.

May the angels continue to watch over all of you, and bring you back home safely.

Love Marijo

Hi Linda and Team;
You guys are amazing.Keep up the good work, be safe, and give the kids a hug for me.
A wise man once said, we can see the past but we cannot influence it, but although we cannot see the future, we can influence it.
Think about the influence you are having on the life of these children.

Hi Linda and Laura,
What worthwhile endeavour. God bless you all. I notice mention of Nancy every so often - her parents (Pic and Roy Barnes) go to my church. They are SUPER people.

Hi Everyone;
Just love reading your reports and seeing the pictures. You create so many memories for us...almost like we were there with you this year.

You must get the children to sing "Tanzania" for you at one of the schools if they haven't already. It will bring goose bumps, it is so beautifulthe way they sing it.

Say hello to Mama and her great volunteers that we remember so well from the last 2 years. The mattresses look great this year.

We send you our love and best wishes.

Hi team- Thanks for the lesson in pronounciation! Having been in Uganda, I really do want to master the "M" & "N" that so often are the first letters of place or surnames.

Fabulous photos too! I can almost feel the rain as it pelted down.

Hi Linda,
The blogs and pictures are amazing, such staggering poverty and only wonderful smiling faces through it all. The next time I want to complain about something trivial like long lines, or hiking gas prices I shall remember those faces and thank God that we have it so good.
Thank you for the hard work you and the SCAW team are doing.

Hi Linda and Team:
You are amazing! What lovely photographs and reports! I wish I was there again - I had no idea your descriptions and comments would affect me so much. I can identify with your experiences with the children, their parents, teachers and others.

The photo with the child shown with the report on Day 3 (Ukombozi) is priceless. I love the colourful matresses. What else is in the kit this year?

Stay healthy and enjoy the remainder of the trip. I am delighted you visited Bagamoyo. Experience a safari too!

"Nakupenda" - hug Mama Wandoa for me.
Your reports are prompt and frequent - electricity everyday? 8 pm trips to the internet café?
You are doing a great job! Nzuri kazi!

Asante sana and see you soon.

Hi team - Another wonderful live report which told of the benefits of antiretroviral drugs for HIV/AIDs sufferers.
I just read a fabulous book "28 Stories of AIDS in Africa" by Stephanie Nolan, Globe & Mail correspondent. It tells many uplifting stories which give hope for the pandemic. Published by Knopf Canada and recommended by Stephen Lewis.
Safe journey home.
