No luggage? No problem! Laurie-Beth is an expert from her 2003 Mumbai trip. Hope you all packed a carry on with a few extras.

Looking forward to your next blogs. Keep well.

Hi Laurie-Beth, John, Laura, Aniya, Theodora, & Iain:
Glad you arrived safely even though you had to reroute. Sounds like you might need some bedkits to get some sleep! Thanks for Keeping Murray's Dream Alive! Enjoy your time with the children and our Rotarian Friends. Stay safe and healthy.

Hi John and Laurie-Beth
Glad to hear of your safe arrival in spite of the misadventure with your luggage. We took a copy of your posting to the dinner to-night and it was passed around amongst the group. Everyone wishes you a safe and successful trip. It's a wonderful thing that you are all doing.
All the best. We are thinking of you.

HI team - So good to see your photos and learn about distributions to 1000 or more kids in just two days! Just think! That many families now have sleeping materials to be shared and school equipment that will make a difference for each of those boys and girls.

Enjoy each part of this adventure.

Cheers, Sally Jo

WHY a private school? The kids who go here have rich parents and can afford to pay for everything.
WHY not a school which is for free for the really poor kids and adults?

Gloria - Perhaps others have replied to your comment but I can assure that the pupils attending the private school did not receive a bed kit.

Deserving children would have been brought to that location which permitted a safe place for the distribution to take place. If you read other trip reports you will see that distributions are done in a variety of settings, including the homes of sponsoring Rotarians. Check out the Bangladesh 2011 report for an example.

Greetings and blessings to all Team Chennai.
I am following your journey closely as it is very dear to my heart. Please convey my best wishes to the wonderful Rotarians who work with you.
So glad Iain to see you smiling and with you shoes on, atop the upper bunk. That is where I perched, directly underneath an air conditioning unit!
Take care!
