Hi guys, so glad to hear that you have arrived safely. To mom (Leslie Banner), happy birthday. I hope you are celebrating, since this is a big one. I wish I was there to celebrate with you. Baby is eating icecream right now, and keeps saying more, of course. Tomorrow I head to Toronto for the Olympic reform conference. We will keep watching the blog to hear how you are all doing.

How is it that Grant manages to surround himself with beautiful women on SCAW distributions?

I am reading a Lonely Planet book about Africa and just enjoyed the piece about Togo. Hope you have a successful distribution helping those children who are so very needy!

I believe this is the team on which Garnice and Jim Ware's three daughters are serving. Garnice and I were in the same residence at Acadia University for four year many years ago and she and I shared an apt. in Montreal for a year before her marriage. I'm sure the girl on Grant's left is one of the sisters and quite probably the one directly in front of his left hand - they look like their mother. They may remember that Garnice first heard of SCAW when Michael passed away and I sent a kit in his memory.
I remember visiting Togo about 35 years ago when my husband and I were in Nigeria with CIDA. Of the five countries we visited along the west coast of Africa at that time, we were most favourably impressed with Togo - possibly the French cuisine.
Best wishes for a most successful distribution.

Whoops - sorry I meant in front of Grant's right hand (as well as directly beside him on his left). Harolyn Panetta

Good morning from Newmarket...everyone is back in house safe and sound - home from Kingston, London, and even 10 houses down the street where the dogs played together and two old guys drank a few beers, then watched Marley & Me and cried at the ending. Enjoy the special experience.

One week ago you walked nervously away into the airport, unsure of what laid ahead. Linda, your posting yesterday illustrates the reason why your mom wanted so passionately for the three of you to be there - to understand and experience the reward in helping others. Garnice (and Jim) would be so proud.

Hi JLK,

Had a good visit with Mike/Andy/Jo last evening enroute to meetings today in Montreal. Yesterday was chaotic with Evan back in town performing last nite, and Tara taking him back up north at who knows what hour (hopefully with dog in tow). We think of you guys every day and I'm sure it's with mixed feelings as the 4000 distribution winds down this week. See you.
