Thanks, Jill, for your blog about the manufacturing of the bedkit items...very interesting to read. As for the China connection,I remember how hard we had to search in Togo to find material that was NOT made in China to have some outfits made up. Have a wonderful distribution...enjoy every smile you receive!

It was so great to see the photo of the SCAW team on the patio at Bunga Leisure Gardens! I am having floods of memories coming through. Give Agnes and Vincent a big hug for me. They took such good care of us when we were there last year. AND of course I am jealous that you will be spending some very enlightening time with the women of The Inner Wheel!I can hear the kids singing now...we are, we are the children of Uganda...♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸♥♥

Hi Team Uganda! I was thrilled to see your glorious colourful photographs and wish that I was in them with you! You sound like you have a grueling schedule but no doubt the ladies of the Inner Wheel keep the bus trips lively with singing, great conversations and the occasional shopping excursion at the side of the road. I salivate thinking of the meals that you are enjoying! Blessings to all of you as you do this fine work.

Winston Churchill called Uganda "the pearl of Africa" because of its beauty.
Earlier today I was talking with Harold Braithwaite, the Executive Director of the Retired Teachers of Ontario. He told me that RTO gave a substantial donation to SCAW earlier this month. I hesitate to name the amount in case I am in error but the amount I remember him saying was very generous.

Hey, Mom, I want that hair style!
Unfortunately for both of us, however, it may be a challenge with less than an inch of hair to work with . . . if you give it a try, be sure to post a photo.

Dear Bob, Dave and Team
It was wonderful to read your blog this morning, Sunday, after I managed to get to the computer. What a wonderful trip you are having! I am keen to hear how the labels sorted by computer are working. What an amazing tool the computer is. We will miss you at lunch today Bob. All is well here. All your blogs have been great. We had a really good session with Ted yesterday for potential team leaders at SCAW. Debbie was there too Dave.

Hi Mom and Dad (Jill and Peter),
What do people eat in the rural areas? Do the children get food at school at all? Have you noticed any sports or games in particular in these areas? Is it possible for you to post a photo of one of the homes?
Thanks. I hope everyone on the team is healthy.
Love,
Joanne

Hello to Team Uganda!
Very interesting to read your blog today. I was with Team Togo last month, and can easily put myself where you are now. Even thought the poverty is great, the children have wonderful smiles, and manage to go to school, do their homework, and help with faily chores. It certainly is an experience that will remain with you. Good luck with the rest of you time in Uganda.

Yes, you are missing the spontaneous dancing from Nancy that definitely gives the Ugandan women a run for their money and gained great applause from the parents! I am sure the Inner Wheel women have tempted most of you once or twice to take Nancy's place!
