How appropriate that the three of you should be travelling together in this year of the millionth bedkit. I know the spirit of the founders + the good wishes of all the family and volunteers who appreciate so much all you have done for SCAW will be with you every step of the way! Safe travels and ENJOY THE CHILDREN!
PS Looking forward to your reports- if anyone can do this, it surely should be Milton!

as rough as the trek sounds, that makes the whole thing more valuable that The SV3 are making the effort. Ah, the smiling faces when you arrive - as the ad says 'priceless'

"... supper tonight is to be fresh trout, baked potatoes, and vegetables followed by plum or peach pie (in season)..."

Oh, NOW you tell us what the menu is! No wonder Milton was a little coy about what he expected for the diet.

Keep up the great work, Team. We are thinking of you all.

Best,

Mike C. in Port Elgin

We at TRAS are SO excited to read the ongoing diary of your adventure, and thrilled that you are actually at the school and that all is going well. The Dalai Lama being in the neighbourhood too must have been the icing on the cake for you three, as well as for all the local families!

Thank you so very much for taking up this special challenge, to replace the whole bed for each and every child, so that lice, scabies, fleas and filthy bedding (12 years old and rarely washed)will be a thing of the past. With the health initiatives set up by our UBC medical students, cleanliness and general health are becoming top priorities in the care of the children - and to start them off in clean beds is truly a blessing. Thank you, SCAW!!

Hi Milton! I am following your adventures with avid interest and gratitude for what you and your team are doing to help children in such a remote part of the world. Your blog also puts the worries and concerns that float through my head at night as I settle in my clean, comfortable bed into perspective!

What an amazing accomplishment for the Spiti Valley 3 and for Sleeping Children.
The last photos of the children sleeping in those beautiful beds brought tears to my eyes.
Safe travels back to Canada.

It seems you have stepped back in time and captured the essence of SCAW, with your most recent photographs. "There is nothing peaceful than a sleeping child." Congratulations!

Wow...I am certain their dreams are filled with "Perfect Peace"...knowing such love, care and generosity exist in our world!
Congratulations Spiti Valley 3...you make us all proud! You have given those of us who have been so fortunate to donate or deliver bedkits through SCAW over the years, the opportunity to envision what each child who has received one must look like each and every night!
Thank You!
