Our prayers are with you. Have a safe trip. Tom is a great leader. If this is the 1st trip for some of you, you will be very gratified when you see the children's smiling faces.

What a wonderful story of the 2 little girls holding hands. I love it when the "official" photo shows the spirit of the children and emotions that the SCAW volunteers experience.

All the best to the wonderful OVOs in the Philippines and of course to you travelling volunteers who give so much of yourselves.

Hi Tom and Gang - My best to you all - I hope the distributions go really well and that you have a great time while there. The wrist which broke is not 'Cirque du Soleil' ready - but I am pretty sure I could have slung, in a mannerly and careful fashion, a few bedkits! It and I are green with envy, here in Canada....
lots of love, mary-jo lang

Thanks team for the detailed description of the "fire and flood" events that you have encountered. Reading it makes us all so thankful for our own privilege of birth and relative safe living conditions.

Continue this rewarding work even as the heat and travel tire you. It's all so very worth.

Cheers, Sally Jo Martin - Philippines teams 2004 and 2010

Hi Team Philippines,
What an experience you are having! I am wishing to be there with you all; what a great team! Kelly, I'm looking forward to catching up when you (eventually) return back home. I was talking about you when I was at the Oakville Rotary luncheon on Wednesday. You are inspiring many kids and adults in this "village"!
Take care,
Debbie Dryden

From Bill Baker

Glad you brought up the benefits of having local suppliers make the bedkit items. It's a great way to make donor dollars do double duty - benefiting the kids and providing much needed employment.

Following your exploits with much interest. I have fond memories of distributions in the Philippines many years ago.

Hi Tom and team Philippines. What a joy to read your reports. I am right there with you in spirit. I can see the happiness in everyone's eyes too, even the mothers waiting outside the gate. You find the very bottom of your heart when you volunteer with Sleeping Children. Making a difference one family at a time... Thanks
